Most of what needs doing here is not writing code, and not all of it needs a teaching qualification.
Check the material
The largest need by far. Teachers, retired academics and working subject experts check that what a child reads is correct before it reaches them. It is structured, it is reviewed, and it is recognised in its own currency.
What the work involvesOther things that help
- Translation review in Marathi and Hindi. Machine translation gets a lesson approximately right and approximately right is not good enough for a child learning a concept for the first time.
- Testing on the phones and connections our learners actually have, rather than on the ones we own.
- Telling a school, a teacher or a parents' group that this exists and is free.
Or fund it
Money is the other thing that keeps this running, and it buys nothing except more of the same thing for more children.
